What to send
Email [email protected] with the Cronaca Faro page URL, the text you believe is inaccurate, a short explanation and the strongest source you have. A regulator publication, registry record, court document or original corporate filing is usually more useful than a screenshot of a search result.
Do not send passwords, full payment-card numbers, one-time codes, seed phrases or private keys as part of a correction request.
How we assess a correction
We first open the source already cited on the page, then compare it with the new material. We check whether the two sources refer to the same legal entity, the same domain and the same time period.
If the original sentence is factually wrong, the aim is to correct it. If the problem is ambiguity, the better fix may be to rewrite the sentence so the uncertainty is visible.
When sources disagree
Two apparently reliable sources can conflict because they were updated at different times or answer different questions. In that situation we do not choose the source that creates the strongest headline. We describe the disagreement and, where practical, give the access date for each record.
This is especially important when a brand name is shared by several unrelated entities.
What a correction request is not
A correction channel is not a paid removal service and does not guarantee deletion of an accurate public-source reference. It is also not a route for obtaining a positive rating or a marketing statement.
Personal data concerns should be marked as privacy requests so they can be handled under the appropriate process.
Broken or moved official links
Authorities regularly redesign websites. If a primary-source link is broken, please send the Cronaca Faro page and, if you have it, the new official URL. We prefer updating to the current official location rather than substituting an unofficial copy.
